Langxiang Breaks Ground on New 200,000-Unit Electric Vehicle Production Base

On September 3, 2026, Zhejiang Langxiang Industrial Co., Ltd.—the parent manufacturing entity of global mobility brand VIGROUS—officially held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing base. The facility is planned with an annual production capacity of 200,000 three-wheel and four-wheel electric vehicles. The company’s founder and chairman, Yang Jian, together with the core management team, attended the ceremony and joined industry representatives and other guests in witnessing this important milestone.

The groundbreaking marks the official start of construction, establishing a stronger manufacturing foundation for Langxiang and VIGROUS to expand production capacity, broaden their vehicle portfolio, and improve delivery capabilities for global business partners.

Three Decades of Development: From Components to Leisure Electric Vehicles

Langxiang’s manufacturing experience began in 1996, when Taizhou Tongli Motorcycle Co., Ltd. was established.

In 2002, the company shifted its focus to motorcycle components and began supplying parts to major vehicle manufacturers, including Jialing, Zongshen, Beiqi Foton, and Peugeot Motorcycles.

This experience in component manufacturing provided a practical foundation for the company’s later move into complete vehicle manufacturing.

In 2009, Langxiang entered the leisure vehicle sector. The company began developing its own molds and invested in testing equipment to support product design, development, and manufacturing.

This transition from component production to complete vehicle manufacturing became an important stage in the company’s development.

In 2011, Langxiang began expanding into international markets. Its products were exported to countries including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

In 2017, Zhejiang Langxiang Industrial Co., Ltd. was established. The company also entered into a strategic industry-university-research partnership with Henan University of Technology to further support technical cooperation and product development.

Over the years, Langxiang has gradually developed from a component manufacturer into a company focused on leisure electric vehicles, with a broader product range and an expanding international customer base.

Building on Technical Experience and Quality Management

Long-term manufacturing experience is reflected not only in production capacity but also in product development, testing, and quality management.

Langxiang has obtained more than 40 patents over the years. The company has also obtained ISO 9001 quality management system certification, EU EEC certification, and China’s CCC certification, and its products have been included in the national Ministry of Industry and Information Technology vehicle catalog.

For international markets, the company has also obtained certifications including CE and MDR, supporting the compliance requirements of different markets and product applications.

In 2020, Langxiang obtained a WMI (World Manufacturer Identifier) code, further strengthening its identification as a vehicle manufacturer in international markets.

From mold development and product design to manufacturing, testing, and market compliance, these capabilities have been built through years of practical experience.

They also provide the company with a foundation for adapting products to different market requirements.

A Diverse Product Range for Different Applications

As the business has developed, Langxiang has expanded its product range to cover a variety of mobility and commercial applications.

Its current product portfolio includes urban leisure vehicles, children’s transport vehicles, mobility scooters for seniors, food delivery vehicles, vehicles for people with disabilities, sanitation vehicles, recreational three-wheel electric vehicles, and sightseeing vehicles.

Each category is designed around a different use case, from short-distance urban transportation and community mobility to delivery services, sanitation work, tourism, and personal mobility.

The company’s Vista Series, Lunar Series, and Spirite Series are among its key product lines and have continued to evolve through market experience and product improvements.

This multi-category approach allows Langxiang to respond to different customer requirements rather than relying on a single vehicle type.

A New 200,000-Unit Project to Expand Manufacturing Capacity

The new project, with an annual production capacity of 200,000 three-wheel and four-wheel electric vehicles, is an important part of Langxiang’s current development plan.

The project covers a total land area of approximately 50,000 square meters, with a total gross floor area of approximately 135,000 square meters.

Once completed, the facility is expected to provide an annual production capacity of 200,000 units, strengthening the company’s ability to handle larger orders and support more customers.

Rather than focusing only on increasing output, the new production base will place greater emphasis on production efficiency, quality control, manufacturing processes, and logistics management.

The facility will be planned around key stages of vehicle production, including component processing, assembly, testing, warehousing, and final delivery.

With the new facility in operation, Langxiang will have greater flexibility in production scheduling and order fulfillment, allowing it to respond more efficiently to both domestic and international demand.

Expanding Global Markets Through Manufacturing

International markets have been an important part of Langxiang’s development since the company began its overseas expansion in 2011.

Today, Langxiang products are exported to Canada, Spain, Germany, Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Israel, Brazil, and other countries and regions.

Different markets have different requirements for vehicle safety, regulations, specifications, and applications. This has encouraged the company to continuously improve its ability to adapt products to international markets.

For an electric vehicle manufacturer, production capacity is only one part of serving overseas customers. Consistent quality, product compliance, reliable delivery, and the ability to develop products for different applications are also important.

Langxiang is therefore continuing to develop its manufacturing and product capabilities while expanding its international customer base.

The new 200,000-unit production project will provide additional capacity for this international strategy and create more opportunities for future cooperation with overseas distributors, importers, and other business partners.

Strengthening the Foundation for Long-Term Growth

Three decades of development have given Langxiang a clear understanding of what is required for long-term manufacturing growth.

Production capacity matters, but it needs to be supported by product development, quality management, manufacturing experience, and an understanding of customer requirements.

Langxiang’s development reflects this gradual process.

The company began by producing motorcycle components for major manufacturers, then moved into leisure vehicle development, built its own product and testing capabilities, entered international markets, and continued to expand its product portfolio.

The new production project brings these areas together on a larger manufacturing platform.

On the product side, Langxiang will continue to build on its experience in vehicle design and development. Through its industry-university-research cooperation, the company also plans to strengthen technical exchange and product innovation.

On the market side, the company will continue to develop products for different applications and customer requirements in China and overseas markets.

The goal is straightforward: to build a stronger manufacturing base and use it to provide more consistent products and delivery support for customers.

A New Production Base to Support VIGROUS

The new production base marks another step in Langxiang’s manufacturing development and will support the continued development of its three-wheel and four-wheel electric vehicle business.

With the new facility, VIGROUS will have a stronger manufacturing base for developing and producing mobility scooters, electric tricycles, four-wheel electric vehicles, and other electric vehicles for B2B customers in global markets.
